ISNA-MSE International Conference | Italy 2025 🇮🇹
This month, I had the privilege of presenting at the International Snoezelen Association (ISNA-MSE) Conference in Italy, a global celebration of 20 years of Snoezelen practice and innovation. ✨
My presentation, “Creating Meaningful Moments: Integrating Gentle Teaching within Snoezelen Multi-Sensory Environments,” explored how we can move beyond sensory stimulation toward relationship-centered companionship.
Through the Gentle Teaching framework, I shared how skilled companions can use the Tools of Presence, Words, Eyes, and Hands to nurture trust, safety, and unconditional value, bringing the Four Pillars (Feeling Safe, Feeling Loved, Being Loving, and Being Engaged) to life within and beyond the MSE room. 💜
I was honored to co-present with my colleague, Hay Young, CEO of IF Interactive (Hong Kong), as we introduced the iSensory Room Project, an evidence-based, AI-powered approach that integrates EEG, spatial tracking, and interactive technology to dynamically adapt to each individual’s sensory experience. 🧠💡
Together, we are bridging neuroscience and compassion, showing how technology can serve, not replace, the human connection at the heart of every therapeutic encounter.
This collaboration between the Quality of Life Institute and IF Interactive marks a new chapter in creating Gentle, data-informed, and human-centered care, reaffirming that meaningful moments are not created by equipment alone, but through relationship, intention, and presence. 🌈
