“Taking Care of Business: Executive Function in Early Childhood Development” is the theme for the 12th Annual Early Childhood Conference, sponsored by Purdue North Central’s Center for Early Learning on Saturday, April 21st. Register Here.
At both the morning and an afternoon sessions, Dr. Anthony M. McCrovitz will be presenting: NOW WHAT? Applying components of executive functioning for connecting, capturing and creating meaningful moments.
He will illustrate the practical steps for how to mentor a child through the developmental processes that establish social/emotional stability. Gentle Teaching integrates values of executive functioning. This presentation will: (1) discuss the basics of Gentle Teaching and how to structure dialogue for interactions that create “growing room” and mentor meaningful goals; (2) discuss how to build bridges that expand connections, and how to create possibilities by addressing lagging skills (3) how to capture components of EF for developing a child-centered mentoring plan, focused on awareness and growth (not behavior).
