EVENT: Workshop this May 2024 at SHARE Foundation, Indiana

February 5, 2024 by mhawks

INVITING ENGAGEMENT WITH MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS & GOALS, continued learning for relationship-building

Come take a journey with us as we look closely at the tools, elements, and quality-of-life outcomes on the path of support and service that we walk with others, creating a culture of gentleness.

Creating Companionship and an awareness of community with others invites the experience of feeling valued, and also cultivates a sense of belonging. The relationship-building dynamic of Gentle Teaching navigates the inner, social-emotional landscape, creating meaningful connections with the outer world of one’s environment for supporting new directions and possibilities as it provides accessibility for personal growth.

Together with the Individual and with our community, we can share in explorations, discoveries, the critical developing of one’s narrative, and the continuous mapping out of a meaningful path for one’s learning environment that invites and values self-determined engagement; Journeying with Gentle Teaching benefits the Individual and their quality of life, the professional and their skills and competences in services, and the community in its sustainability of continued learning and celebration of meaningful growth and reciprocation.

NADD Conference December 13-15, 2023 in Nashville

December 4, 2023 by mhawks

Quality of Life Institute Executive Director, Anthony M. McCrovitz, Ph.D., will be presenting  Skillset for Behavior Support and Intervention, Navigating the Heart, at NADD’s 40th annual conference, being held in Nashville December 13 – 15.

Navigating the Heart cultivates elements of relationship-building and the path of support between the Individual and their support staff, creating connections and quality-of-life outcomes. This bridge-building relationship dynamic shapes the social structures of companionship and community with the Individual, giving mobility to mentoring/learning processes. From the shared exploration and discoveries to the essential developing of one’s narrative, skills support the continuous mapping out of a meaningful path for a safe and inviting learning environment. Navigating the Heart is a mutually beneficial invitation that values self-determined engagement for a path of learning and exploring potentials for quality of life.

“In human development, freedom and the genuine feel of self-determination are only concepts until they become developed and differentiated through one’s narrative story. This is a quality of life goal and outcome, produced through reciprocal relationship-building processes that incorporate a framework of Gentle Teaching, where learning and living begin with feeling safe and loved.” ~Dr. Anthony M. McCrovitz, Executive Director
